ELECTRONIC FUEL INJECTION EFI SYSTEM FOR TWO WHEELER PDF

Technavio has published a new report on the global two-wheeler electronic fuel injection systems market from Graphic: Business Wire. Technavio defines an emerging trend as a factor that has the potential to significantly impact the market and contribute to its growth or decline. The strict two-wheelers emission regulations like Euro 5 and Euro 6 by governments are shifting the market toward more fuel-efficient and compact size engines.

Electronic Fuel Injection EFI is a substitute for the conventional metering system which mixes the air and fuel in the correct ratio before feeding it down to the main cylinder to power the vehicle. Usually in a bike a carburetor is responsible for carrying out this task.

But, the downside of using a carburetor is that it has fixed settings and it has certain limitations. To overcome this negative aspect of a new system has been introduced. However, for this brand new system to work, it needs data from several sensors. These sensors include an engine speed sensor, temperature sensor, voltage sensor, throttle position sensor, oxygen sensor and an air flow sensor.

The data collected from the various sensors are send to the Electronic control unit ECU. The ECU makes use of the data provided from the sensors to determine the spark advance, the length of spark and other parameters. Then the exact air fuel mixture for that particular instant is fed into the cylinder which in turn delivers optimum power and clean exhaust.

All this process is done continuously and happens many times in every second. Are you looking to give your kitchen a facelift while replacing the method of cooking to a faster method that is more reliable and responsive? Well, given the number of methods present in the market Garbage disposals are machines that grind food wastes into pulp. They are mostly used in the United States of America and are rarely seen anywhere else in the world maybe Canada.

Two Wheeler Fuel Injection Systems Market

The upcoming BS 6 emission norm, which is closer than ever, requires vehicles to emit lower levels of CO2 gases while making them more efficient, in terms of fuel economy. This is especially integral to the Indian automotive segment, where two-wheelers form a majority. Not only is India considered the largest two-wheeler market in the world, it is also a market that is almost completely filled with petrol engine models that are focussed towards the mass segment. The penetration of electric two-wheelers is almost insignificant at present. Two-wheelers in the mass segment are always known to offer good fuel mileage, and this requirement will continue to drive the market, despite the requirement for lower emissions with BS 6 standards. This brings in a requirement for technologies that aid in increasing efficiency of internal combustion engines, while keeping a check on emissions. The adoption of optimal fuel supply systems that deliver an ideal level of air and fuel mixture into the engine is a key factor in balancing the performance and tailpipe emissions.

Electronic fuel injection (EFI)

A method of increasing efficiency of internal combustion engines, while keeping a check on their emissions, is by adopting an optimal fuel supply system. The most ideal level of air and fuel mixture into the engine is a key factor in the power performance of the engine as well as for the amount of tailpipe emissions. While these fuel systems are common for all types of vehicles, we will focus on the two-wheeler segment and the strides it has taken with regards to various technologies. The traditional method of providing fuel to the engine has been through a mechanical system called the carburettor. A carburettor contains jets that push the fuel into the combustion chambers of the engine, with the amount of fuel flow depending completely on the amount of air capable of being sucked into the system. The carburettor is a purely mechanical system that needs to be tuned and cleaned at regular intervals in order to function properly. Dust and other impurities in the fuel that pass through the filtration systems on the carburettor could clog jets or other components of the carburettor and lead to improper fuel flow to the combustion chamber.

How Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) Works - How To

In the future, the demand for two-wheeler fuel injection systems is anticipated to increase specifically in the Asia-Pacific region. With one-third of the world population in China and India, there is tremendous scope for investment in this region. Moreover, there is abundant scope for sales of two-wheeler in this region, as countries such as India and China has a favorable demographic distribution of buyers. Increase in the level of income and standard of living is another factor that is expected to drive demand for the two-wheeler fuel injection systems market. Increasing penetration of electric vehicles and lower safety features of two wheelers are acting as restraining factors for the growth of the market. The European economy is recovering from an economic crisis, but with increasing government initiatives, the market is expected to grow in the future. This report classifies and defines the global market in terms of volume and value.
