OMG this read like such a Harlequin. It was good but not good enough to entertain me and I found myself growing bored. I put it down for a while and then my loan timed out so I had to loan it again, that's why it took me almost a whole month to read it.
Also it was annoying how Verity was like oh, no we can't be together. You can't see me again. Muito bom!! Dec 25, Nessa rated it did not like it. He then meets the one woman he vows never to meet again, Verity who came into his room one night and they had sex.
What puzzles me the most is how Verity even came up with the idea to sleep with him for the sake of knowing what it is like to be made love to when she's going to marry an older man, unless she is in love with the Duke herself. The things she does is somehow illogical and not exactly what a mature woman would do. Clearly I stopped halfway because the characters were just flat and so 2D and a tad shallow, reading this is like insulting a few of my favourite authors who actually put thought and meaning into their HRs.
